Indiana

I spent all of last week at Indiana University attending a drug course. It was a very intense class and I learned a lot about pharmacology. It was nice to see Kristen and Kate, coworkers for my old lab in Wisconsin. They filled me in on all the gossip.

While I was far away in Indiana, Mike decide to shave Nollie. That's right, shave! I don't have a picture, but let me tell you, she looks a little funny.

This week has been spent getting ready for Lisa's wedding which is on Saturday. I picked up my dress from alterations yesterday. It mostly fits - good enough to get through the day. It's going to be a lot of fun! We'll have tons of photos to share next week.

And today is my Mom's birthday. Happy birthday Mom!

lots of eggs

Saturday we went up to Mt. Baker for the Golden Egg Hunt. I found 4 Easter eggs and Mike found 11. That was a huge improvement over last Easter's 1 egg. It was such a beautiful day up there. I think the temperature was around 60 degrees and it was sunny.

Sunday night Steve and Johanna came over for an Eldorado Easter. This was our second Easter in a row with a Tex-Mex spread. We had chicken fried steak, quesadillas, cornbread, smashed potatoes, chips and salsa. After dinner Johanna and I dyed eggs. This made Mike happy because that meant he didn't have to do it with me!

opening day

Yesterday I went to opening day at Safeco Field. The Mariners played the A's and they actually won, 4-0. There were about 15 of us from the lab that went. I wore my Cubs hat and only cheered for Ichiro (he's the only player I know). I refuse to be a Mariners fan, but I'm glad they won.
