drinks on the links

drinks on the links

Last night was opening night for our mini golf league, Drinks on the Links. There is a bar in the middle of the course and a cocktail waitress to get us drinks. Mike and I, Brianne and her husband Tim, Jen from work and her husband Daren, Tim's friends Chris and Jay, Jen's friend Lacey, and Justin from work are all on the team. Last night we were without Mike, as he's east of the mountains for work. Our team had 2 holes in one, 3 balls in the water, and 2 balls out of bounds. I must say we aren't the best team out there, but we know how to have fun!

ballet

Mike and I went to the ballet last night at the 5th Avenue Theatre to see "Edward Scissorhands." Mike was not aware that it was a ballet since I told him it was a play. I thought it was amazing and loved it. Mike was mad that I made him dress up when other people there were wearing jeans. He also was concerned that there was no dialogue and only people prancing around.

Lisa and Jay

Here are some pictures from Lisa and Jay's wedding last weekend. They had a beautiful Seattle day - 60 degrees and sunny! She was a beautiful bride, the reception was a blast, and now they are in Hawaii. Lucky.

HAPPY RETIREMENT!

Dad Swenson has officially retired. His last day of work was on Monday. Mom Swenson schemed up a surprise retirement party this weekend. Mike, Steve and I flew in from Seattle on a red eye Friday night - arriving in Chicago at 5 AM. We showed up in Bristol around 7:30 - it was a total surprise to Dad.

Who's ringing the doorbell this early in the morning?

We told Dad that we were going out to dinner at Twin Oaks with my parents. The perfect excuse to get him to the restaurant since my Mom has been wanting to go there again ever since the bridal shower. While we waited for my parents to arrive we gave Dad his gift - a 25 year old bottle of scotch.

I think he likes it.

We got to the restaurant with out a hitch. It all was a total surprise!

Surprise!
